今度の欧州出張では、Belgium Proximus の Prepaid Card (Reload Card) も購入しようと思っています。BASEは、安いですが、UMTSが無いのが欠点。

The first time: set up your voicemail on 1231 Setting up voicemail couldn't be easier. Dial 1231 and follow the instructions. Select your preferred language, program your secret code and record your name.

The recording of your name will be inserted in the following spoken message: "Your name" is unable to take your call at the moment. Please record your message after the tone.

For your personal code, pick a non-obvious digit sequence, for instance your date of birth. Combinations like 1234 or 1111 will be rejected by Proximus, in order to protect your privacy. You can for example use your PIN code; this is the code you enter when switching on your mobile phone. Listening to messages received: 1230 An envelope shows up on your screen: it means you've received a message. Press the enter key and follow the instructions, beginning with "You have 1 new message; call number (+32 475 15) 1230".

You can listen to the messages left on your voicemail via the numbers shown below:

from your mobile phone in Belgium: dial 1230 (free)
from another phone in Belgium: dial 0475 15 1230 (price of a call to a Proximus number)
from abroad: dial (+32) 475 15 1230 (price of an international call).
In the last two cases, Proximus will ask you to enter your phone number and secret code for your voicemail. Please have them ready.

Manage your incoming messages: 1230 On 1230, you access the main voicemail menu, which has the following structure:
(1) Listen to messages.

(1) Delete
(2) Save
(3) Listen again
(4) Reply with a text message
(5) Reply by phone call
(6) Forward a message to a person or to a mailing-list, either with your own remarks added or not.
(8) Consult the date and time of received messages.

Options (4) and (5) are available only if Extra Options are activated. You can arrange for this free of charge on 1231.

Example: To reply to a message after having listened to it, press key 5, record your reply and then send it off to the original number. You do not need to key in the number, because your mobile phone will usually have it already. Only if the other party has activated the CLIR function will you need to dial the number again. Confirm with the Enter key.

Send a message yourself: 1230 or 1232
Dial 1230 on the main voicemail menu, press 4, record your message, dial the number of the person receiving the message and confirm with the Enter key.
Or here is an alternate method, with which you won't interrupt the other party: dial 1232 and follow the instructions so as to leave a message directly in their voicemail.
Forgotten your voicemail code? You can request it with a simple short code.

1.Type #145# on your mobile phone keypad.
2.Then press Send.
3.You'll receive a free SMS with your voicemail code that enables you to listen to your messages whenever you like.

Abroad
Receiving messages when you are abroadWhen you cross borders, voicemail will still works as it does in Belgium, with two small differences:

When you receive a new message whilst you are abroad, Proximus will send you a SMS. Unlike in Belgium, there will be no spoken message; this is to prevent you from having to speak a foreign language.
Call Transfer does not function automatically. You are free to set it up manually: dial **21* + 32 475 15 15 16 # and enter. All calls will then go to your voicemail without charge, and you can decide whether or not to listen to them.
Listening to messages when you are abroadTo listen to your answering system whilst abroad, or to change your settings, you call the international country code for Belgium. As well as your phone number, you will be asked to give the personal code for your voicemail, so have them ready.

What to do: dial (+32) 475 15 1230, press the enter key and follow the instructions.
